Table Libro - Altassina
The Libro Table by Altassina is distinguished by its rare sculptural presence, blending architectural power with the softness of its lines. Its minimalist aesthetic reflects a contemporary vision where every curve, every volume, and every surface is articulated with an almost artistic rigor.
A true centerpiece, it strikes a subtle balance between elegant simplicity and expressive design.
The 230 cm long ceramic tabletop features delicate veining reminiscent of the natural charm of light marble. The rounded edges and satin finish provide a visually and tactilely smooth feel, while offering exceptional resistance to scratches, heat, and stains – ideal for everyday use in a high-end interior.
An exceptional base: a “folded page”, an architectural gesture
The base of Libro is its strongest signature.
Made of painted steel, it unfolds like a thick page that has been folded , a full volume that opens into two asymmetrical wings.
This structure creates a fascinating interplay of balance: a massive block that nevertheless appears light, as if animated by a silent movement.
The steel takes on a fluid and organic form, without aggressive angles, giving the impression of a contemporary sculpture installed in the center of the room.
This base alone transforms the table into an architectural work: a pure, graphic, perfectly mastered gesture.
Exceptional expertise
All our tables are entirely handcrafted by highly skilled artisans who transform concrete and fiberglass into a material with the appearance of pure marble.
This unique alchemy combines ancestral know-how with hydrographic dipping printing technology - also known as water transfer - allowing complex patterns to be applied to three-dimensional surfaces.
This method, widely used in high-end automobiles and aviation , guarantees a brilliant, precise and durable finish, inseparable from the aesthetics of genuine marble.
Each piece features a unique pattern , different from one table to another, like marble in nature.
