Patryk Koca

Sydney-based furniture designer Patryk Koca develops a design approach based on the search for practical, durable, and intelligent solutions. His work brings together artisanal craftsmanship, technology, functional thinking, and environmental requirements, with the ambition of creating pieces that are contemporary, useful, and designed to last.
A graduate with a Master's in Industrial Design from the University of Technology Sydney, Patryk Koca has built a rich career path encompassing consulting, teaching, exhibitions, and product development. For over ten years, he notably served as a lecturer at UTS, while maintaining an active practice in furniture design. Early in his career, he collaborated with renowned designers such as Oskar Zieta and Adam Goodrum, with whom he refined his understanding of design, manufacturing, and innovation.
Between 2014 and 2018, he led product development and production for the Australian brand NAU, a pivotal experience that allowed him to deepen his knowledge of mass manufacturing, both in Australia and internationally. This mastery of industrial processes now informs his approach: designing beautiful, efficient, technically sound objects adapted to real-world uses.
In 2019, Patryk Koca founded his own studio and has since collaborated with several residential and contract furniture brands worldwide. His creations are distinguished by clean lines, great precision in details, and a constant search for balance between aesthetics, comfort, and functionality.
Through his work, Patryk Koca advocates a vision of design that is understated, responsible, and timeless. Each piece is meticulously conceived, respecting materials, uses, and manufacturing quality, to offer durable, elegant, and profoundly contemporary furniture.
